The Lagos state government has unveiled a statue in honour the legendary afro-beat, musician Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
The statue was unveiled by Governor Akinwumi Ambode on Sunday, October 15, 2017, during his visit to the Kalakuta museum, Vanguard reports.
The statue titled, The Liberation, is located at Allen Roundabout, Ikeja in Lagos state.

Meanwhile, Day 6 of Felabration 2017 is one not to be forgotten for a very long time after the last child of late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Seun took over the stage with his ground breaking performance.
Seun Kuti during his rendition dished out a couple of his late fathers' popular songs which left the crowd screaming and singing along with him.
The even saw top musicians like; Reminisce, Solid Star, Seun Kuti, Small Doctor, Terry Akpala, Terry G, Sound Sultan, Eva, Mz Kiss, and many others who all came out in honour of the Afrobeat icon.
Artists like Small Doctor and Terry G surprised their fans by throwing money and their jewelries to the crowd even as they all scream in anxiety.
